A surprising and novel development evolved at Ajo Agba Oke Esa recently, when the new Bajimo Omiran of Esa Oke Kingdom, Chief Adeyemi Akanni Omojadegbe visited the Quarters’ meeting for his presentation and briefing Leading the Bajimo’s entourage was High Chief Solomon Olaniran Olamiju, the Baale of Sholuyi-Gbagada, Kosofe Local Government Area, Lagos State. 
To the surprise of all, Chief Olamiju sudenly became the cynosusre of all eyes as he was extemporaneously announced as the Asiwaju of Oke Esa Quarters, Esa Oke Kingdom. This is a first of its kind amongst the four Quarters of Esa Oke.

The development shocked the Lagos-based chartered accountant and financial consultant, who was nonplussed and hardly could utter a word.
Chief Olamiju, sixty-nine years old, is from the Ogboni Oke Chieftaincy Ruling House in the Quarters.
High Chief Olamiju was highly commended by the Agba Oke Esa Quarters, who praised his steadfast commitment to all matters affecting the Quarters particularly, and the Esa Oke community in general.
The Head of the Quarters, Chief John Olufemi Aluko, Asaba of Esa Oke, said he was surprised that High Chief Olamiju was born and bred in his quarters, and yet, it was in Lagos State that he was first discovered and recognized.
The new nominee, a Lagos-based chartered accountant and financial consultant, is from the Ogboni Oke Chieftaincy Ruling House in the Quarters.

The sixty-nine year old Baale was highly commended by the Agba Oke Esa Quarters, who praised his steadfast and commitments to all matters affecting the Quarters particularly, and Esa Oke community in general.

The Head of the Quarters, High Chief John Olufemi Aluko, Asaba of Esa Oke, said he was surprised that High Chief Olamiju was born and bred in his quarters, and yet, it was in Lagos State that he was first discovered and recognized.

The nomination was unanimously supported by the chiefs and elders and immediately approved by the youths of Oke Esa Quarters.

As if it was pre-arranged, the Olori Ode (Head of the hunters) of Oke Esa Quarters immediately ordered the customary seven gun salute in his honour. The hunters thereafter moved to his family house in Ile Ogboni Oke and repeated the gun salute.

The seven gun salute is a symbol of affirmation and confirmation of a chieftaincy title in Esa Oke.

However, no date has been fixed for the formal coronation of the first Asiwaju of Oke Esa Quarters, High Chief Solomon Olaniran Olamiju.

A date will be fixed later for the formal installation ceremonies of the first Asiwaju of Oke Esa Quarters, High Chief Solomon Olaniran Olamiju.
