The immediate past Divisional Police Officer, Esa Oke Police Division, CSP Alex Usideme, has called on the indigenes of the ancient town, especially the elites, to be more pro-active in their relationships and supports, with the Division, to enable the Officers posted there to stay long.
The Edo-born Officer, who spoke with www.esaoketodayonline.com in his Office recently, said he was happy to be posted to the locality as the DPO, and intends to make his mark there positively.
He blamed the high turn-over of the DPO since the exit of CSP Kazeem Babalola on the inadequate interaction and co-operation by the indigenes. He said Officers spending three, six, eight or even ten months in a Division as the DPO could hardly make any impact on the security of the area.
CSP Usideme was enlisted into the Nigerian Police in 2003 and attended the Police College, Ikeja as a Constable. He later attended the Police Staff College, Jos Plateau State, where he was promoted an Assistant Superintendent of Police, (ASP).
He had served in different formations of the Nigerian Police and in Osun State before he was posted to Esa Oke on 31st December, 2025. He was re-posted back to the State Command late May, 2026.
The 47-year old Police Chief graduated from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State with a degree in Political Science. His married with children.
