Friday, 07 March 2025: The Rt. Hon. Ropo Oyewole led six-man Panel Inquiry looking into the “immediate and remote causes” of the recent fracas in of one its farming outpost in Ido Ayegunle, Esa Oke has invited six traditional rulers from the Ijesa North Traditional Council to help the panel in its bid to establish the true ownership of Ido Ayegunle farming ouitpost.
However, www.esaoketodayonline.com was unable to verify the names and the identities of the traditional rulersw invited. But feelers from the Ministry of Local Government indicates that traditional rulers neighbouring towns would be invited.
www.esaoketodayonline.com recalled that the six-man panel of inquiry was set up by the State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to look into the crisis which broke out over the appointment of one Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, an Ilesa indigene, to the stool of Olojudo of Ido Ajegunle in Obokun Local Government area.
Meanwhile, the Esa Oke community Friday morning appeared before Panel of Inquiry.
The panel which commenced sitting on Friday 07, March and heard the Esa Oke delegation led by the Owamiran of Esa Oke, Oba Adeyemi Akanbi Adediran, Atipa Owaji 11.
Oba Adediran and his entourage appeared briefly before the panel, and requested for another date to enable the Esa Oke community to present necessary documents in support of their oral evidence before the Panel of Inquiry.
The Esa Oke delegation will appear again before the Panel on Monday 10th of March, 2025 by 12noon, at the same venue.
The Panel urged Oba Owamiran and his entourage to come with all supporting documents that can help their case.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Panel of Inquiry, Rt Hon. Oyewole has directed that all documents to be submitted to the panel should be made in ten (10) copies each.
Hon. Oyewole made this known in a press release he signed by himself and made available to newsmen in Oshogbo on Friday.
The release further stated that the Panel has also invited five (5) representatives from Ijesa North Traditional Council to a meeting and they are to bring along all relevant documents that would help the Panel in delivering its assignment.
The Chairman of the also Panel Oyewole appealed to any person(s) with relevant facts or documents that can aid the assignment of the Panel to submit it memoranda in ten (10) copies to the Secretary of the Panel at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Osogbo not later than Monday 10th March, 2025.
However, Hon. Oyewole vowed that the Panel will discharge its duty without fear or favour.
