ACP Clement Agbemoroti, Area Commander, Obolun Area Command

The head of the Nigerian Police Area Command, Ibokun, Osun State,
Clement Agbemoroti, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, is worried over the inability of Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) posted to the Esa Oke Divisional Headquarters’ to stay very long in the post.
This comes after the DPO manning the Esa Oke Divisional Police
headquarters, CSP Alex Usideme was transferred out only about five months after he assumed duty in the Division.
CSP Osideme has been replaced by Dare Osabia, This development has forced Area Commander  Agbemoroti to express his worries about the high turn-over of the Divisional Police Officers serving in the Divisional Headquarters, Esa Oke.
ACP Agbemoroti lamented in a chat with www.esaoketodayonline.com recently, how the short stay of the DPOs in Esa Oke was negatively impacting their performance.
The Area Commander, www.esaoketodayonline.com recalls, was posted to the Obokun Area Command, Ibokun on 11 November, 2025. He assumed duty on 17 November, 2025.
He said in his less than seven months in the Command, he had worked with about four DPOs in Esa Oke Division alone.
He said the major reason given by the immediate past DPO was inadequate accommodation. He therefore appealed to those who have the means to come to the aid of the Division.
CSP Alex Usideme, had complained that he was accommodated in a hotel room all through the duration of his stay in the Division, a situation which was not convenient for him.
The former DPO was posted to Esa Oke on 31 st December, 2025. He spent only five months in the post.
The former DPO, CSP Alex Usideme, had earlier called on the indigenes of the ancient town, especially the elites, to be more proactive in their relationships with the Division, to enable the Officers posted there to stay long.
The Edo-born Officer, who spoke with this magazine in his Office during a visit, had said he was happy to be posted to the locality as the DPO, and intends to make his mark there positively.
He blamed the high turn-over of DPOs since the exit of CSP Kazeem Babalola on inadequate interaction and cooperation by the indigenes. He said Officers spending three, six, eight or even ten months in a Division as the DPO could hardly make any impact on security of the area.

Meanwhile, the new DPO, CSP Osabia Sam Dare has paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Owoeye Samuel Abiodun, the Chairman, Obokun East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in his office in Ilare.

During the meeting, Hon. Owoeye congratulated CSP Osabia on his new posting and assured him of the LCDA’s full support. He noted that security remains a top priority of his administration.

“We cannot talk about development without peace. My administration will continue to partner with the police and all security agencies to ensure Obokun LCDA remains safe for residents, businesses, and investors,” the Chairman said.

CSP Osabia Sam Dare appreciated the warm reception and pledged to work closely with the LCDA leadership, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders to tackle security challenges in Esa-Oke and environs.

Both leaders agreed on the need for improved intelligence sharing, community policing, and youth engagement to sustain peace in the area.

The meeting was attended by key officials of Obokun LCDA and senior officers of the Nigeria Police Force.
