-Regent Says Process is Well on Course
-Has Passed Ifa Consultation Stage
-No More Delay or Derailment by Any Groups or Persons

The Ogboni (Regent) of Esa Oke, High Chief Paul Abimbola Olamiju assure all that the process of choosing the next Owa Omiran now rests squarely with the State Government and therefore “we shall not allow any individual or group of people to derail or delay it”.
He insisted that “the process is well on course” warning that no one would be allowed to truncate or derail the process at this stage.
The Regent was reacting to an attempt by some group of people to go and consult Ifa again elsewhere.
According to him in a statement made available to www.esaoketodayonline.com, “such a move (to consult Ifa again) will only cause more confusion and further damage the fragile peace within our community. And we as a community cannot do with more confusion with the ones we are currently grappling with”.
He told those planning such a move clearly that “the Owamiran-in-Council, will not have anything to do with such, recognize or accept its outcome”.
www.esaoketodayonline.com notes that both at the Gogodudu/Anaye Ruling House, Omo Omiran and Owa Omiran-in-Council levels, Ifa consultations had been made. Since the results were not consistent, each picking different person, the Regent and Owa Omiran-in-Council decided to explore other ways of choosing a befitting candidate as the next Owa Omiran.
according to High Chief Olamiju, “at this stage, we have passed the stage of Ifa consultations. We have submitted the names of the four qualified contestants to both the State and Local Governments. We now expect the State Government to promptly act on the list with them”.
Therefore, the High Chief added that with the selection process now firmly with the State Government, “no other process shall be entertained locally”.
