Late Oba Adeyemi Akanbi Adediran (JP), Atipa Owaji 11, Owa Omiran of Esa Oke Kingdom (April 2004 – May 2026)

After a ten-week hiatus after his death, thus oddly laying cold in the morgue, the remains of the departed Owa Omiran of Esa Oke, Oba Adeyemi Akanbi Adediran, Atipa Owaji 11, will be laid to rest later today, (Friday July, 17, 2026) albeit surreptitiously.

A highly placed source within the town disclosed to www.esaoketodayonline.com late Thursday that all arrangements had been concluded to commit the late Oba to Mother’s Earth discreetly, with less fanfare and celebrations.

“There will be no more curfew, no rituals, joining with the ancestors, drumming, singing, firing of guns or any other activity. But, I can assure you, he will be buried quietly late Friday”, he told www.esaoketodayonline.com

He added that “someone has offered to go to the morgue in Oshogbo, to pick the remains, bring it down to the town, and ensured the burial is done without further delay. No rituals of any form will be done”

According to him, all traditional rites have also been postponed till further notice.

www.esaoketodayonline.com gathered that the late Oba will be bury in an area close to the grove at the back of the Palace, far away from where his ancestors were buried, but still within the large expanse of land surrounding the Palace.

It was further gathered that he will be bury at night, and that only the Aworos, Iwoles, and the Isogans led by the Obalorisa will bury him quietly. No other persons will be allowed into the groove.

www.esaoketodayonline.com recalls that late Oba Adeyemi Akanbi Adediran, (JP), Atipa Owaji 11, passed away on May 06, 2026 after a protracted illness, relating to diabetic complications, alleged spinal cord injury, and swollen leg, at the Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital (LAUTEH), Oshogbo.
