St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hosts 2026 Ijesa North Diocesan Synod

For three days, starting from Friday 26th to 28th June, 2026, the attention of all Anglican brethren in the Diocese of Ijesa North, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), will shift to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Esa-Oke, Obokun Local Government Area, Osun State, as the Diocese will host the celebration of the Third Session of the Fifth Synod.

A statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Synod’s Local Organising Committee (LOC), Hon. Micheal Adeniyi Ekundayo and Secretary, Chief Damisi Ojo, the annual Anglican festival shall be presided over by the Lord Bishop of the Ijesa North Diocese, Rt. Revd Dr Isaac Oluyamo (JP).

The Asiwaju of Esa-Oke land and Balogun Ijo, St Paul’s Anglican Church, Esa-Oke, Chief (Hon) Oladosu Fatokun is the Synod Host with the theme” Promise of God ‘ Isaiah 41:10.

According to the LOC, the opening service will come up on Friday June 26th, 2026 while official opening and Presidential address by the Diocesan is scheduled for Saturday June 27th 2026 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Esa-Oke premises.

Eminent Anglican Church Dignitaries, Bishops, Delegates from all Archdeaconries within the Diocese and other invited Guests across the Country are expected to grace this important Ecumenical Ceremonies.

The Vicar-in- Charge of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Esa Oke, also the Administrator, Esa-Oke Archdeaconry, Revd Samuel Akintayo told www.esaoketodayonline.com  that all arrangements have been concluded to guarantee smooth and epoch-making Synod.

Revd Akintayo used the occasion to welcome the Diocesan, Rt. Revd Dr Isaac Iwabiolorun Oluyamo, Mama Ijesa North, Dr.Mrs Margaret Olusola Oluyamo, other Bishops, Delegates and eminent dignitaries to the 2026 Ijesa North Anglican Diocese in advance.

The three-day programme will be rounded off on Sunday June 28th 2026 with Thanksgiving Services at the Church.
