WHO WEARS THE CROWN AS 18TH OWA OMIRAN OF ESA OKE?
MEET THE ALL CANDIDATES HERE
Soon, you will know who are the official candidates seeking to be selected as the new Owamiran of Esa-Oke, according to official sources in the town.
As you are likely aware, the process for selecting our new Owamiran has commenced.
In accordance with the age-long tradition established and followed by our ancestors, the position rotates among the Ruling Houses of our town.
These are:
- The Beleyeke Ruling House that produced Oba Fatolu,
- The Afinbiokin Ruling House that produced Oba Isiah Ajayi Adeniran
- The Aragadagbugun Ruling House that produced Oba Adeyemi Akanbi Adediran, and.
- The Gogodudu Ruling House.
According to tradition, the next Owa Omiran will be chosen from the eligible Princes of the Gogodudu Royal family that is next in line to assume the kingship among the Ruling Houses.
Under the leadership of the Regent, the Ogboni of Esa-Oke, High Chief Paul Abimbola Olamiju, with cooperation of the Bajimo, Chief Adeyemi Omojadegbe, head of the Omo Omirans, and the other chiefs of our town, the kingmakers are determined to select as Owa Omiran, the best candidate who will hopefully usher in a great new era of peace, harmony, progress and economic and social advancement for Esa-Oke.
In the interest of public awareness, fairness and transparency, the Regent and kingmakers have decided to announce the names of the candidates in our community magazine, ESA-OKE TODAY, through its online edition, www.esaoketodayonline.com Esa-Oke indigenes at home and abroad will be welcomed to provide any relevant information and express their views on the candidates.
